Head Lice Fact Sheets

From the desk of Nurse Sara

While lice can happen from time to time in any school setting, we wanted to share this information so families can check their children and help prevent further spread.

Please take a few moments to check your child’s hair and scalp, especially around the ears and at the back of the neck, for any signs of lice or nits (small white or yellowish eggs attached to the hair). If lice are found, treatment should begin right away. If you need help with treatment, please contact our Family Resource Center at 760-379-2556.

Head lice are a common childhood issue and are not related to cleanliness. With quick attention and treatment, they can be managed easily.

We appreciate your help in keeping our school community healthy. Attached is additional information about Head Lice.
